Presentation Description: The Lead Evaluator session will be a “by invitation only” two day-long training session designed to prepare individuals to lead AdvancED international Quality Assurance Review (QAR) accreditation team visits. Specifically, participants will gain a thorough understanding of the newly-revised AdvancED quality Standards and a working knowledge about ASSIST, the newly-designed accreditation management system which must be used by all AdvancED accredited schools. A review of the leadership skills necessary to ensure a highly effective, successful QAR visit will also be addressed.

Presenter Bio:
Steve has served the international education community for the past thirty-two years as a teacher and/or administrator at five different schools on three continents. His most recent international experience found him as the head of two schools in Venezuela over a fourteen year span. During this time he was extensively involved with AdvancED SACSCASI accreditation in the region and now holds the position of Regional Director for Latin America with AdvancED. Mr. Sibley holds a bachelors degree in education from Springfield College and a Masters degree in educational leadership from Boston University. He also earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in the area of critical thinking.
