Presentation Description: Critical thinking skills are important to student success, but are often lacking, in the secondary science classroom. This workshop will discuss the use of Discrepant Events to introduce new science concepts, challenging students to reconsider deeply rooted misconceptions on science and to actively explore and explain unexpected phenomena.
